Eccentricity Measurement Systerms
CenterScan gauging
systems from Beta LaserMike provide on-line, high-speed measurement of
the eccentricity of cable insulation over a solid or stranded core.
These ruggged, reliable gauges use in induced high frequency magnetic
field with a highly sensitive search-coil head that rotates around the
cable surface at up to 1200 RPM to detect the location of the core in
the insulation. CenterScan systems have built-in signal processing
intelligence and can communicate directly to DataPro controllers or
other systems. When the CenterScan is combined iwth diameter gauges on
the core and insulation integrated with DataPro controllers, the user
is capable of monitoring eccentricity, diameter, and wall thickness on
line.
