Sector and Shaped Cable Measurement System
The Rotamaster
gauge is designed to give a profile of the outside dimensions of sector
and shaped cable. this is achieved by rotating a standard Accuscan
single axis gauge around the outside of the product to be measured.
The Beta LaserMike Rotamaster system is based on a 360o
continuous rotation system. By using continuous rotation rather than a
reciprocating action we gain two advantages. Teh coninuous rotation in
conjunction wih a feedback control system from the optical measurement
allows the speed fo rotation to be adjusted to optimize measurement of
critical features, also, by avoiding the "forward and revers" scanning
action fo other systems the wear on mechanical components is
considerably reduced. These feaures maximize the accuracy and
reliability of the guage.
Data from the
Diameter Gauge is transmitted from the rotating sectin using capacive
coupling to increase reliabiliuty. The data are outpt from the
Rotamaster over RS 232 using a Standard Accuscan data format. The gauge
can be used in static mode to give readings fro pre-spiraled products.
